A male has sadly died after an incident at Copnor Road, Portsmouth last night.
Information from an outside source had previously believed that a stabbing had taken place, however this informed was incorrect.
Police and paramedics were called shortly after 7.00 pm yesterday evening to Copnor Road Junction of Amberley Road, after a concern for welfare after a male seen laying on the pavement.
Paramedics from South Central Ambulance Service attended to the male who was transferred to Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth where he was sadly pronounced dead on arrival.
His next of kin has since been informed and is being supported by specialist officer’s, the incident is not currently being treated as suspicious.
