Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Southampton last night.
Officers were called to a collision involving a car and a pedestrian on The Avenue, Southampton, at 6.40pm yesterday (December 30).
The pedestrian, a woman in her 50s, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Southampton General Hospital, where she is being treated.
The driver of the Hyundai, a 50-year-old woman, was uninjured.
Investigations into the exact circumstances of the collision are ongoing and police are appealing for anyone who was in the area, close to the Lodge Road junction, at the time to contact police.
