Appeal for witnesses following robbery on Knowsley Crescent, Cosham

Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery that took place on Sunday afternoon (14 November) in Cosham.

At approximately 2pm the victim, a 16-year-old boy, was walking along Knowsley Crescent towards the footbridge which goes over the train tracks and onto Windsor Road.

As the victim approached the footbridge, he saw a group of males sitting on the steps leading to the bridge. One of them pushed the victim into a fence and then two of them revealed knives.

The group then stole the victim’s jacket, a Louis Vuitton bag and £40 in cash. The victim was not injured.

Police would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen what happened, or may have seen the group in the area before or after the incident.

Police would also like to hear from anyone who may know the whereabouts of the Louis Vuitton bag. Perhaps you’ve been offered one for sale since the incident?

Police have the below descriptions of four members of the group. The first is described as:

5foot 11inches tall
Black
Of skinny build
Wearing a black balaclava, black Nike coat and black jogging bottoms.

The second is described as:

Male
Approximately 18-years-old
6foot 11inches tall
White
Of muscly build with broad shoulders
Wearing dark blue jogging bottoms, a black coat, Nike Air trainers and a black balaclava.

The third is described as:

Approximately 18-years-old
5foot 11inches tall
White
Of skinny build
Wearing a black coat, black jogging bottoms and a black balaclava

The fourth is described as:

Approximately 17-years-old
5foot 9 inches tall
Of mixed race
Of stocky build
Wearing grey Nike Tech tracksuit trousers, a black Nike coat and a black balaclava

Police would like to hear from anyone who recognises any of the descriptions of the group or who saw anything that may assist in their enquiries.
