Lake Road in Portsmouth has been closed to traffic as engineers carry out emergency repair work. The closure affects the section between the junctions of Church Street and Clarendon Street.
The repairs, which are being undertaken to ensure public safety, are expected to be completed by the weekend, provided the work proceeds without delays.
Signed diversion routes have been put in place for motorists. Drivers are advised to follow the diversions via Holbrook Road, Arundel Street, and Fratton Road.
