An Isle of Wight man has been charged with a number of violent offences
Bruno Borges, aged 34, of Queens Road in Shanklin, was charged over the weekend with the following:
Assault occasioning actual bodily harm – relating to an incident on 9 June this year where it’s alleged he assaulted a woman known to him on a bus en route to East Cowes, resulting in the woman suffering a chipped tooth.
Assault by beating – it’s alleged he assaulted a woman at an address in Queens Road, Shanklin, on 12 May this year.
Criminal damage on 12 May this year, relating to a mobile phone.
4 counts of assaulting an emergency worker, namely police officers, on Queens Road, Shanklin on 12 May this year.
Borges was remanded in custody to appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 11 June.
At the hearing, he was remanded further and will next appear at Isle of Wight Crown Court on 11 July.
