Officers carried out a successful warrant yesterday (Thursday, 3 February) at an address on Scallows Lane, Romsey, in connection with an ongoing investigation
Around 21 officers, accompanied by two police dogs, searched the property and discovered a disused cannabis factory along with a number of stolen items including a Ford Transit van, four jet skis, two RIBs and three outboard motors, all of which were seized.
The investigation is ongoing and officers are working hard to trace the rightful owners of the stolen items to re-unite them with their property.
No arrests have been made at this time.
Detective Sergeant Naomi Stocker from the Western Criminal Investigation Department said “This was a successful operation, resulting in the discovery of a disused cannabis factory and a number of high value stolen items.
“My team of officers continue to work hard on this investigation and we will be re-uniting the stolen items with their rightful owners in due course. We will update you on their progress when we can.
“This is a great example of an intelligence led operation into tackling drugs and associated crime. These operations are only possible through information provided by the public, which is why we continue to encourage people to report any suspicious activity to us.
“All information we receive helps us build up a picture around what might be happening in your neighbourhood and allows us to keep people safe.”
