Police enforce dispersal order placed around Millbrook Towers after increase in anti-social behaviour
Police have increased patrols and already taken action, with seven individuals being dispersed yesterday.
While patrolling the area, they also arrested a 32-year-old Southampton man on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.
This was in connection with an assault that happened on December 30 last year in Shirley Road where a man was shot in the face with a catapult, leaving him blind in one eye. The man remains in custody at this time.
The order was taken out in response to what residents have been telling police about groups of young people congregating around Millbrook Towers and causing damage.
It covers the area on the map that surrounds Mansel Park, including Windermere Avenue and Kendal Avenue.
Officers will remain in Millbrook to enforce the order, so if residents have any information about individuals involved in antisocial behaviour please approach officers.
You can also report this on the Hampshire Constabulary website or by calling 101.
