The court heard how Malachi Bates, aged 19, of Mansergh Walk in Totton was in attendance at Pop World in Southampton on the evening of Tuesday 22 February.
He later became obstructive, abusive and threatening towards venue staff after they had request that he vacate the premises, but Bates declined.
Upon police arrival, Bates was seen to become aggressive and abusive towards officers; assaulting two police officers in the process.
The barrage of abuse continued while he was transported to Southampton General Hospital for treatment for a previous medical condition, but again, was threatening towards hospital staff.
He was later charged with two counts of assaulting an emergency worker.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates Court today (24 Feb), Malachi Bates pleaded guilty to both offences and was sentenced to 16 weeks in jail, while he was handed a further eight week sentence – to run consecutively – after a suspended sentence for a prior incident was activated.
