Witness appeal following robbery at Central Convenience Stores in Swanmore

Police appealing for witnesses following a robbery at Central Convenience Stores on New Road, Swanmore. 

 

At around 5.15am on Saturday, 30 April, two men entered the premises shortly after a member of staff had arrived.  

 

One of the men was carrying a crowbar described as being around 3ft long and the other was carrying a large fluorescent Hippo bag.

 

The men threatened the member of staff with the crowbar before going behind the counter and taking cigarettes and alcohol. They then went into the office and stole cash and the CCTV hard drive.  

 

The two men fled in a vehicle down New Road.

 

The first man is described as:

 

5ft 8 to 5ft 10 inches tall

Slim

Southern accent

Wearing a black balaclava and brown/sand coloured Air Max 95s

 

The second man is described as: 

 

6ft 2 to 6ft 3 inches tall

Slim

Southern accent

Wearing an under armour black balaclava

 

Officers investigating the incident are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious.
