Witness appeal launched after teenage boy suffers serious injuries in Waterlooville collision

Police are appealing for witnesses, or anyone with dash-cam footage, to come forward following a road traffic collision in Waterlooville yesterday evening (Wednesday 20 April)

 

The incident occurred at around 5.50pm on Maurepes Way when a 13-year-old boy was seriously injured, after colliding with a car, whilst riding a mountain bike. 

 

The cyclist entered the carriageway via a crossing, travelling from Waterlooville town centre in the direction of Wellington Retail park, when he collided with a silver Hyundai. 

 

He suffered serious injuries, which were not deemed life-threatening or life-changing, and he was taken to hospital for further treatment. 

 

Police have been making initial enquiries into the exact circumstances of the incident, but now asking any members of the public if they witnessed the incident taking place?
