Air ambulance landed briefly at Portsmouth Recreation Ground in St Mary’s Road Portsmouth shortly after 10.15pm
It’s currently unknown as to why they were called as there were no other emergency services at the landing site.
It’s understood that the helicopter had travelled from Manchester to Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance base in Andover.
The helicopter landed for around 15 mins before returning to base in Andover, nearby residents who heard the helicopter land took to the park and were seen filming the unexplained landing.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance have been approached for comment.
