Appeal for information about suspicious vehicle following four burglaries in Fareham, Havant, Waterlooville and Petersfield

Detectives investigating four burglaries in Fareham, Havant, Waterlooville and Petersfield have today (Thursday 5 September) made an arrest as part of police enquiries.

A 44 year-old man from London was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit burglary. He has been bailed until 3 December pending further enquiries.

Police still want to hear from anyone that has seen or has footage of a silver three-door Audi S3 that has been seen close to the scenes of the four burglaries.

On Friday 16 August at some point between 9am and 10am a house at Grindall Field in Fareham was broken into and jewellery worth more than £10,000 was stolen.

Shortly afterwards on the same morning items including jewellery and cash were stolen from a house on Scratchface Lane in Havant.

Two days later, on the evening of Sunday 18 August, we received a report of a silver Audi acting suspiciously in Purbrook.

Later the same evening, at around 8:30pm, jewellery was stolen from a house on Love Lane in Petersfield.

On Sunday 25 August cash was stolen from a house on Plant Farm Crescent in Waterlooville at around 11:40am. Police are investigating all of these reports and believe that they may be linked. The silver three-door Audi S3 that we are releasing a picture of was seen acting suspiciously in the area of all four burglaries.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen the Audi since 16 August or if you have Dashcam or doorbell footage that can assist their enquiries.
