Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a collision in Leigh Park on Tuesday, September 17, which left two children injured.
The incident occurred shortly after 5pm on Dunsbury Way, between the junctions of High Lawn Way and Fulflood Road. During the collision, two children—one under the age of ten and one in their teens—were struck by a vehicle.
Fortunately, both sustained only minor injuries.The driver of the vehicle, described as a 4×4, possibly a Land Rover Discovery or a similar model with blacked-out windows, initially exited the vehicle but then drove off without exchanging details.
The driver is described as wearing black shorts, a black top, and a cap. Police are eager to speak to him in connection with the incident and are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the event or seen a vehicle matching the description.
Officers are particularly keen to obtain any dash cam, mobile phone, doorbell camera, or CCTV footage that may have captured the collision.
