CCTV released following attempted robbery in Aldershot

Do you recognise this man? Police know the quality of the images aren’t great but someone may recognise his clothing or build

 

Officers would like to speak to him in connection with an attempted robbery that took place in Aldershot last week.

 

Between 8.55am and 9.15am on Friday, 25 February, a 78-year-old man was followed into the public toilets in Manor Park by another man.

 

When inside, the man grabbed the 78-year-old man’s head and hit it against the wall. He then made demands for money whilst going through the victims pockets.

 

The man made off in the direction of St Georges Road East.

 

Police and the ambulance service attended.

 

The victim sustained facial injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

 

Nothing was stolen.

 

The man is described as:

 

White

Between 25 to 35 years old

Approximately 6ft tall

Skinny build

Wearing a blue hoody with the hood up, black tracksuit bottoms and had yellow teeth

He was riding a black electric scooter with orange wheels.

 

DC Thomas Bailey from Northern CID said “We have been pursuing several lines of enquiry since this incident and we are now asking the public to help us identify this man.  

 

“We know you can’t see his face but perhaps you recognise his clothing or build? Maybe you know someone who rides a black scooter with orange wheels?
