CCTV released following Denmead assault and racially aggravated public order incident

Do you recognise this man? 

 

Police would like to speak to him in connection with an assault and a racially aggravated public order incident in Denmead

 

Shortly after 9.20pm on Sunday, 17 April an altercation took place between a taxi driver and a male passenger on Southwick Road. 

 

The taxi driver, a man in his 40’s, stopped the taxi, a red Toyota Prius, on Southwick Road and both he and the passenger got out of the vehicle. 

 

The passenger then assaulted the taxi driver before pursuing him from the roundabout at the junction with Forest Road, towards the junction with Hambledon Road, whilst being racially abusive. 

 

The man is described as being:

 

Aged between 50-60 years old

MuscularGrey / brown receding hair

Grey beard

Wearing a dark polo shirt, dark blue jeans, white trainers and glasses.
