Fire crews were mobilised at 10:23 this morning to the vehicle full of beer kegs, on the A3 southbound between Liphook and Petersfield, with the driver initially believed to still be inside.
The driver was found to have safely evacuated the lorry, as both carriageways were closed by Hampshire Police, along with the Longmoor-Bordon junction bridge, which was directly above the blaze.
Fire engines from Liphook, Horndean, Cosham and Surrey FRS were on the scene, assisted by specialist support vehicles from Alton and Bordon.
The blaze was tackled using six sets of breathing apparatus, two hose reels and jets.
HIWFRS also worked to contain approximately 400 litres of fuel and water which had spilt onto the highway.
The fire is not out, with crews working to dampen down the scene. The stop message came in at 11:34.
