Police officers, who conducted a proactive stop search of a suspicious vehicle in the Blackfield area, have arrested a man in connection with drug-driving offences.
A blue BMW was stopped just before 11pm yesterday evening (6 January) after officers located a suspicious vehicle on Hampton Lane and was eventually stopped on Hartsgrove Avenue.
The driver, a 24-year-old man from Hythe, failed a drugs wipe for a Class B drugs and was arrested on suspicion for driving under the influence of drugs.
He was later released under investigation, pending further police enquiries.
