Police are appealing for witnesses to a fatal collision on the A303 on the morning of (September 6).
Police were called around 11.20am to a report of a collision on the westbound carriageway near Sutton Scotney.
The incident involved a gold/grey coloured Volvo XC40 and a white Toyota Aygo.
An 80-year-old woman and an 81-year-old man from Leicester, who were the occupants of the Volvo, have sadly been pronounced deceased as a result of this collision.
Their family have been informed.The occupants of the Toyota sustained minor injuries.The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident, but has since fully reopened.
To assist initial enquiries, officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision. Police also want to hear from anyone that saw either of those two vehicles in the moments leading up to the collision.
