Prolific shoplifter in Lymington sentenced to eight weeks in prison

A prolific shoplifter from Pennington has been sentenced to eight weeks after three separate incidents over a two week period.

Victoria Tracey Peters, aged 31, of Howard’s Mead, Pennington was first seen to enter Marks and Spencers on St. Thomas Street in Lymington on Tuesday 2 November; whereby two bottles of whiskey valued at £64 were stolen.

While she was later seen to enter a Co-Operative petrol station on Wellworthy Road on Friday 12 November and proceeded to steal produce and alcohol valued at approximately £40.

In the final spate of shoplifting incidents, Peters returned to the same petrol station on Wellworthy Road a few days later – on Monday 15 November – and stole items totalling £50.

Appearing at Southampton Magistrates Court on Thursday 18 November, she entered a guilty plea and was handed a two month prison sentence.
