A sailor who suffered a head injury was brought ashore at Yarmouth Harbour Sunday afternoon where paramedics and Coastguards treated the casualty.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Needles Coastguard Rescue Team was tasked at 14:43 to meet a sailing vessel heading into Yarmouth after reporting having an injured crew member on board.
The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service was also mobilised to the incident, providing initial care to the patient.
Coastguard Rescue Officers assisted with transferring the casualty from the yacht into the ambulance for onward conveyance to St Mary’s Hospital.
It is believed that the casualty was later transferred by air to Southampton Trauma Centre assisted by Thames Valley Air Ambulance for further treatment.
