Emergency services search for man after concerns for his welfare and safety in Ryde prompted an emergency response to the town’s pier Sunday 8th August.
Police and Coastguard from Bembridge and Ventnor, and paramedics on behalf of the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service were mobilised to Ryde Pier shortly before 23:30.
A search of the pier was carried out by Police, but no male matching the description could be found.
The male was soon located near to Ryde Bus Station ahead of the arrival of Coastguard Rescue Vehicles.
The man was then treated by paramedics and Police.
