Police investigating reports of an assault at a pub in Lymington have charged a man

The charges comes after a member of staff at the King’s Arms Pub on St. Thomas Street in Lymington was allegedly assaulted at around 8.30pm on Saturday 25 June. He sustained minor injuries to his face and hands.

McCauley Thomas Douglas, aged 22, of Darwin Road in Southampton was charged with two counts of assault and one count of assaulting an emergency worker.

He was released on bail by the courts, but is next due to attend Southampton Magistrates Court on Thursday 25 August.

A 25-year-old man from Marchwood was also arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker, but was later released and issued with a conditional caution.
