Man released under investigation following the death of a 23 year old in Portsmouth

A man at the centre of a murder investigation has been released on conditional bail until next year, it comes after police made am arrest of a 24 year old Havant man on suspicion of murder

Police were called shortly after 4.00am to a report of a female who had been located with serious injuries on Buckingham Street in Portsmouth.

She was taken to hospital with serious injuries in a critical condition and later died from her injuries.

Police have been conducting enquiries in the area in relation to the investigation and a 24 year-old man from Havant was arrested on suspicion of murder.
