Man Charged With Murder After Woman, 74, Dies at Portsmouth Home

A 48-year-old man has been charged with murder following the death of a woman at a home in Portsmouth.
Police were called to an address in Cyprus Road shortly before 10am on Monday, 14 September, following a report of a domestic incident.
Emergency services attended, but 74-year-old Carole Langley was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
Following an investigation, Scott Langley, 48, of St Pauls Road, Southsea, has now been charged with murder.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear before Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 17 September.
The charge follows a significant police presence in Cyprus Road this week, with officers and forensic teams carrying out enquiries at the property.
