Witness Appeal After Criminal Damage at Fleet Pond
Police are appealing for a potential witness to come forward following a criminal damage incident at Fleet Pond.
Officers received a report that a wooden pontoon deck near Fleet train station had been damaged by a group of youths at around 6pm on Wednesday, 25 March.
As part of their enquiries, officers are hoping to speak with a woman who may have witnessed what happened. She was described as wearing a coat and hat and was walking two dogs in the area at the time — a black Labrador-type dog and a white and brown Spaniel-type dog.
Police have stressed that the woman is not in any trouble and is being sought only as a potentially significant witness who may be able to help with the investigation.
Anyone who believes they are the woman described, or who has any information about the incident, is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference 44260141943.
Information can also be reported online via the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary website.
