Two Arrested After Fight At Pompey Centre KFC Leaves Man Hospitalised
Two men have been arrested after a fight broke out at KFC at the Pompey Centre in Portsmouth, leaving a man needing hospital treatment.
Emergency services were called shortly before 5pm on Saturday, 2 May, after reports of a fight involving several men at the fast-food restaurant on Fratton Way.
Police and ambulance crews attended the scene, with KFC temporarily affected while officers dealt with the incident.
The victim, a man in his 50s from Eastleigh, suffered suspected ABH-level injuries, including injuries to his head. He was taken to hospital for further assessment and treatment.
A 38-year-old man from Southsea was arrested on suspicion of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent.
A 50-year-old man from Portsmouth was also arrested on suspicion of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent, assault by beating of an emergency worker, and common assault.
Both men remain in police custody while enquiries continue.
Police have not yet released full details of what led to the incident.
