Police appeal for witnesses after motorcyclist dies in Portsmouth crash

Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist died in a single-vehicle collision in Portsmouth at the weekend.

The collision happened at around 7.15am on Saturday, May 2, and involved a Royal Enfield Continental motorcycle on Kettering Terrace, just off Mile End Road.

Despite the best efforts of medical professionals and emergency services at the scene, the rider — a man in his 30s from Waterlooville — was sadly pronounced dead.

The man has not yet been formally named by police, however a GoFundMe fundraiser has been launched to support his family⁠.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, saw the motorcycle beforehand, or has dashcam, CCTV or doorbell footage from the area around the time of the incident is asked to contact Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary on 101.
