Partial Closure Orders Secured At Two Basingstoke Properties
Police have secured two partial closure orders following reports of drug-related activity and anti-social behaviour at two properties in Basingstoke.
Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court was presented with evidence earlier this month relating to activity at addresses in Nightingale Gardens and St Luke’s Close.
The orders have now been granted, meaning that for the next three months, no one other than those authorised on the court order is allowed to enter or remain at the properties.
Anyone who breaches the orders will be committing a criminal offence and can be arrested.
A/Police Sergeant Robyn Gaimster, from the Basingstoke Priority Crime Team, said both addresses had been “a blight on the local community” and that the behaviour linked to the properties had caused serious nuisance to members of the public.
She added that officers would continue working with partners to reduce anti-social behaviour and drug-related activity in Basingstoke.
