Witness Appeal After Man Suffers Facial Fractures In Serious Assault Near Liss

Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a man suffered several facial fractures during a serious assault near Liss.

Officers were called following reports that two men had stopped their vehicles on the B3006 in Empshott at around 5.45am on Tuesday, 7 April.

The two men are reported to have become involved in an argument in the road before one man allegedly assaulted the other, causing several fractures to his face.

The suspect then left the scene in a white vehicle.

An investigation has since been launched.
As part of enquiries, officers arrested a 35-year-old man from Portsm7outh on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.

He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Police believe a number of people may have witnessed the incident due to traffic building up around the stopped vehicles.
