Cyclist Seriously Injured In Portsmouth Hit-And-Run As Police Appeal For Witnesses

Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was seriously injured in a hit-and-run collision in Portsmouth over the weekend.

The incident happened at around 1am on Sunday, 24 May, on Goldsmith Avenue near the Talbot Road junction.

A 19-year-old man was cycling in the area when he was involved in a collision with a vehicle, believed to possibly be a white Skoda.

The driver failed to stop at the scene.
The cyclist suffered a serious injury to his leg as a result of the collision.

Officers say they have already carried out a number of enquiries and are now asking for the public’s help as investigations continue.

Police are particularly keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time, or anyone with dash-cam, CCTV or doorbell footage which may help identify the vehicle or driver involved.
