Two Men Arrested After Dangerous Dirt Bike Reports Lead to Suspected Drugs Haul in Aldershot
Police investigating reports of dangerous dirt bikes being ridden through Aldershot town centre have arrested two men on suspicion of drug offences after discovering suspected Class A and Class B drugs during a search.
Officers were called following reports that dirt bikes were being ridden recklessly through Municipal Gardens at around 7pm on Saturday 20 June.
A short time later, officers located the bikes on Heathland Street. Due to suspicious circumstances at the scene, a nearby address was searched, where officers discovered suspected Class A and Class B drugs, along with drug paraphernalia.
Police also seized the two dirt bikes, which are suspected to have been stolen.
A 27-year-old man from Aldershot was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, possession with intent to supply Class B drugs, theft of a motor vehicle, and driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence.
A 30-year-old man from Aldershot was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, possession with intent to supply Class B drugs, and theft of a motor vehicle.
Both men have been released on conditional bail while enquiries continue.
Officers are continuing to investigate the original reports of dangerous riding in Municipal Gardens and are appealing for anyone with information or relevant footage to come forward.
