Police release CCTV image after shoplifting victim assaulted in Petersfield Tesco

Police investigating a shoplifting and assault incident in Petersfield are appealing to identify a man who may be able to assist with their enquiries.

The incident happened on Friday 8 May at Tesco on The Causeway, after a member of the public was reportedly assaulted while attempting to stop a man suspected of shoplifting.

Officers have been reviewing CCTV as part of their investigation and have released an image of a man who was in the store at the time. Police have confirmed he is not a suspect, but believe he may have information that could help their enquiries.
