14-Year-Old Boy Charged with Eight Offences Following Ringwood Incidents

A 14-year-old boy from Ringwood has been charged with eight offences following a series of alleged incidents in the town during April and June.

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with:

Two counts of shoplifting

Criminal damage

Assault

Assaulting a police constable in the execution of their duty

Driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence

Driving a mechanically propelled vehicle on a road or in a public place without reasonable consideration for other road users

Using a motor vehicle on a road or in a public place without third-party insurance

He has been bailed to appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Monday 13 July.

The charges relate to reported incidents of shoplifting, criminal damage and assault at Tesco Express on Butlers Lane on Thursday 16 April and Sunday 14 June, as well as a separate road-related incident on Wednesday 24 June.
