Appliances from Southsea,Cosham and Portchester were called today at 02.50 pm after reports of a fire alarm at the British Red Cross, All Saints Church, Portsmouth.
On arrival firefighters carried out a visual inspection of the premises from the exterior.
Fire crews gained access to the building where they carried out a full inspection of the building.
The incident is being treated as a ‘false alarm with good intent’.
