Police are appealing for information and witnesses following reports of a distraction burglary in Farnborough.
An elderly woman reported that an unknown woman knocked on her door in Delville Close at around 4pm on Saturday 4 December.
The woman at the door appeared to be quite distressed and claimed that she had lost her cat.
The homeowner let the woman search her garden and while this was happening, another person entered the property.
A number of jewellery items, including a gold bangle, necklaces and earrings, were stolen from the property.
The female suspect was described as being in her early 20s and around 5ft 5ins tall with shoulder length wavy black hair.
She was wearing a dark coloured skirt and jacket.
Officers have conducted a number of enquiries and are now turning to the public for help.
