Police are appealing for any witnesses, or anyone with information, to come forward following an assault on Andover High Street
The incident occurred at around 6.30pm on Tuesday 8 February when two teenage girls were verbally abused and assaulted outside the Chantry Centre.
The two girls were verbally abused by a group of people as they walked past them between the Chantry Centre and the Guildhall.
They were subsequently followed by a woman who continued to abuse them before the woman allegedly assaulted one of the girls – causing her to hit her head on a wall.
The girl suffered minor injuries as a result.
A member of the public was seen to approach the two young girls and ensure they sought help and safety within the Chantry Centre.
Police have conducted initial enquiries but are particularly keen to the speak with the woman who helped the girls following the assault.
