Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault that took place in Waterlooville on Sunday (22 August).
At around 3pm, a woman on a 125cc scooter was overtaken by a man driving a black Ford Fiesta on Chalton Lane, off the southbound Clanfield exit of the A3.
The Ford Fiesta then stopped abruptly in front of the scooter and the man got out and assaulted the woman, leaving her with minor injuries.
The Fiesta then drove off in an erratic manner down Chalton Lane towards Clanfield.
The victim, a woman in her 50s, was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital for treatment but has since been discharged.
Police would like to speak to a man in connection with this incident who was seen in the area at the time. He is described as follows:
Tanned
Approximately 25-years-old
Short dark hair with a slightly spikey quiff at the front
Of medium build
Approximately 5foot 10inches tall
Wearing a light coloured polo shirt
Spoke with a local accent
