Police appealing for information following a robbery in Sandown
Police were called at around 7pm on Monday 31 January.
It was reported that a group of 5 or 6 youths were congregating at Sandown Pier.
A 14-year-old boy was approached by two members of this group, one of whom was carrying a knife. Threats were made and the youths demanded the victim hand over his trainers, which he did.
Officers have been making enquiries and are asking anyone who witnessed the incident, saw the group of youths on the pier at this time, or has any information that could assist enquiries, to get in touch with police.
As part of this investigation, three boys have been arrested. A 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of robbery and possession of a knife in public, and a second 15-year-old and a 16-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of robbery.
They have been bailed with conditions until 28 February.
