Appeal for witnesses following robbery at Manor Park, Aldershot

Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery that took place in Aldershot on Friday morning (January 14).

 

It was reported to us that at approximately 6.20am a man in his 50s was approached by two men unknown to him outside of the public toilets at Manor Park.

 

One of the men assaulted him, causing minor injuries to his face. The two men then left with his rucksack, described as a medium sized green rucksack with a red tag on the top clip. It is believed they may have then got into a black vehicle and driven away via Church Hill.

 

Police would like to speak to two men, seen in the area at the time, in connection with this incident.

 

The first man is described as:

 

6 foot 2 inches tall Of large build Wearing black clothing with a shiny motif on the back of his jacket.

 

The second man is described as:

 

5 foot 10 inches tall Of medium build Wearing dark clothing, with flaps at the side of his hood which were tied up at the top.

 

Do you recognise these descriptions? Were you in the area at the time and saw what happened, the moments leading up to it or the aftermath? Perhaps you were driving on Church Hill or in the vicinity of Manor Park around the time of the incident and may have dash cam footage that could assist the police investigation?
