Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Southampton
At 9.56pm yesterday (3 March), a man in his 50s was crossing Civic Centre Road at the junction with Havelock Road with a group of people when a dark coloured BMW collided with the man.
The car did not stop and drove off in the direction of Cumberland Place.
The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Officers arrested a 53-year-old man from Kent on suspicion of conspiring to cause grievous bodily harm with intent and a 50-year-old man from Kent on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.
Both remain in custody at this time while enquiries continue.
