Cannabis plants were reportedly thrown from a window during a police raid in Fratton, Portsmouth, leading to the arrest of a man.
Officers, both in uniform and undercover, were seen in an alleyway at the junction of New Road and Kingston Road at around 11:30 am Sunday 23rd February.
Two police vans and a car were stationed at the scene as officers carried out the operation.

A spokesperson for Hampshire Police confirmed that officers attended a property as part of an ongoing investigation into drug supply and cultivation.
“Upon entering the property, officers discovered a cannabis grow consisting of 17 plants.
Five of these plants appeared to have been thrown out of a window as police arrived,” the spokesperson said.
A 47-year-old man from Portsmouth was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and possession with intent to supply a Class B drug.
Following the raid, officers were seen today dismantling the cannabis factory and removing all the chopped plants from the property.

Video footage captured officers carrying out the operation, stripping the grow site of equipment and loading the seized plants into police vans.

Authorities have confirmed that all cultivation equipment, including lighting, ventilation, and irrigation systems, was also removed from the premises as part of their investigation.

The operation is part of an ongoing crackdown on drug-related crime in the area.
Police have urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspected drug activity in their communities.
