A clear up operation is underway after a van has collided with scaffolding on a major road into Portsmouth
The incident happened around 10.50 am on Commercial Road, Portsmouth Southbound carriageway, a delivery van struck scaffolding outside the Goat student bar causing the scaffolding to fall onto the highway and causing damage to road furniture.
Colas are currently at the scene with police and have closed one lane of the south bound carriageway and footpath to allow engineers to remove scaffolding.
Please expect delays if travelling into Portsmouth, as the lane will be closed for sometime whilst works are completed.
