Fire crews from the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service have been mobilised to a thatched cottage blaze in Elm Lane, Calbourne tonight 26 August.
Multiple crews from stations across the island are tackling the blaze where the thatched roof is a has caught fire.
Elm Lane has been blocked by fire appliances in both directions leaving motorists to use alternative routes.
Please avoid the area to allow access for emergency services.
