Man, 29, Charged Following Knife-Related Incidents In Tadley
A 29-year-old man has been charged with a number of offences following incidents in Tadley on Tuesday night.
Police were called at 10.38pm on Tuesday 9 June to reports that a man had made threats while holding a large knife on Priors Road.
Officers also received a report that a man had smashed a front door, doorbell and glass panel using a large knife at an address on Almswood Road.
Police attended the scene and arrested a man at a nearby address. A large knife was also seized from the property.
Following the arrest, officers reported being threatened and racially abused.
Liam Farmer, 29, of Stanfield, Tadley, has since been charged with:
Making threats to kill
Possessing a knife blade / sharp pointed article in a public place
Criminal damage to property
Using violence to secure entry to premises
Using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of, or provoke, unlawful violence
Racially / religiously aggravated fear or provocation of violence by words, writing or behaviour
Farmer is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court today, Thursday 11 June.
