A man has been arrested on suspicion of drug supply offences after officers detained him during routine patrols in the Ashurst area
It comes after officers were patrolling on the A35 on Lyndhurst Road from Totton towards Ashurst just before 1pm yesterday afternoon (2 March). They pulled over a blue Kia due to having concerns about the vehicle and the driver.
Officers spoke with the driver of the vehicle and subsequently conducted a search of the individual and the vehicle.
A quantity of Class B drugs were located upon him and seized. A further search of the vehicle and surrounding area located a plastic bag which contained further quantities of Class B drugs.
The man also failed a drugs-wipe at the roadside after it tested positive.
A 26-year-old man of no fixed abode was arrested on suspicion of drug-driving, possession of a Class B drug and possession with intent to supply a Class B drug.
He was released on bail until Wednesday 30 March.
