Man charged following assault incident in New Milton

Officers investigating an incident committed against an 11-year-old boy and a 12-year-old boy in New Milton have charged a man.

The charges come after two boys were reportedly inappropriately touched at around 4.30pm on Sunday 2 January on Gore Road.

Martyn Jeffery Quinn, aged 65 of Fordingbridge has been charged with two counts of assaulting a boy under 13 by touching.

He appeared at court yesterday (6 January) and was remanded in custody. He will appear at Southampton Crown Court on Monday 7 February.
