A man has admitted two burglaries which took place on the Isle of Wight
Gary Dauncey entered an address in Salisbury Way, Sandown in the early hours of the morning on 16 November 2020.
The occupant of the address was awoken by the noise as 51-year-old Dauncey moved through her house and searched her TV cabinet before leaving the address.
A few days later, at around 11.50am on 22 November 2020, Dauncey entered Pan Stores and walked around before entering the storeroom corridor which is for staff only.
When challenged by a member of staff, Dauncey turned around and left the shop.
Enquiries including forensics, and CCTV and Ring doorbell footage scoping identified Dauncey as the man responsible for these two incidents.
Appearing at Isle of Wight Crown Court yesterday (Thursday 5 May), Dauncey, formerly of Osborne Road in Shanklin, admitted burglary and attempted burglary.
He will appear at the same court for sentencing on 27 May.
