Lymington, Beaulieu and DWFRS crews were called to a large fire on Pennington Common near to Wainsford Road on Saturday afternoon.

Firefighters were first alerted shortly before 4pm, with support vehicles from Ringwood and Eastleigh also mobilised to the scene.
The HIWFRS Control Room received more than 50 emergency calls reporting the blaze.
A 50m-by-70m area of gorse and grassland was ablaze before being extinguished and dampened down with jets and hose reels.
Following the stop message at 6.51pm, firefighters returned to the scene the next morning, and again in the evening to conduct reinspections and extinguish remaining hotpots.
