Police officers have arrested a man and a woman on suspicion of drugs offences following a successful stop and search in Eastleigh.
At around 2.15pm on Friday 1 October, officers stopped a silver Volkswagen Golf on Blenheim Road after it was seen to be being driven in suspicious circumstances.
Officers carried out a search of both the vehicle and the occupants during which they located and seized a quantity of suspected Class A drugs and a quantity of cash.
A 43-year-old woman from Southampton was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug, driving while under the influence of drugs, driving whilst disqualified and driving with no insurance.
While a 29-year-old man from Chandler’s Ford was arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class A drug.
They were both released under investigation, pending further enquiries.
