Gosport Police have today released information relating to the high police presence around Shoot Lane, Gosport on Saturday 8th August around midday.
Police had attempted to detain a 41-year-old male wanted on a warrant for failure to appear at Portsmouth Crown Court in July.
The male is believed to have absconded from police leading to a massive police search around the area of Shoot Lane, Gosport.
Its then understood that the male got stuck and made a 999 call after getting into difficulty, he was then later rescued by Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service and handed over to police.
Officers and units from RPU, R&P, Gosport NPT, Fareham NPT, NPAS, a PD and handler, CWUN, a drone, HIWFRS, SCAS, GBC, and staff at Lee-on-the-Solent Golf Club, lead to the arrest of the 41-year-old Gosport male.
